Gregorio credits his passion for travel to his parents, who took him on fishing trips to Colombia’s Pacific Coast. As an undergraduate, Gregorio focused on social, hands-on design in rural communities, and then led outdoor expeditions all over Colombia and other Central and South American destinations. In 2016, he moved to Laos to work on community-based tourism and student travel around Southeast Asia. While there, Gregorio lived among elephants for two years, working toward the ethical care of captive elephants, as well the conservation of those in the wild. Gregorio currently directs our programs in Laos, Morocco, Puerto Rico, Costa Rica, Colombia, and Cuba as well as our international outreach efforts. When he’s not programming or leading trips, you can find him fishing, playing football, listening to music, and enjoying the outdoors.
